Ok so I know this should have been done already but I just haven't gotten around to it. This might be a little long so for those of you who want to know the whole story keep reading, if not you can skip to the pictures. So on Tuesday morning I woke up about 2:30 to what I thought were just cramps. I went back to sleep and 10 minutes later woke back up again. I laid in bed for about a 45 minutes and decided I would come get on the computer to take my mind off of them. By this time they were about 5 minutes apart and I couldn't function during them. Even though they were very painful I couldn't bring myself to believe that I might be having contractions and that I was probably in labor....after all I was 9 days from my due date and I thought for sure she would come late. So, by about 4am I decided this might be real...the only problem was that it was 4 am and I didn't dare call anybody at that time of day and I really didn't want to drive 30 minutes to the hospital in the middle of the night to get sent home...so I waited...I really don't remember a whole lot from that night and I have no clue how I sat through7 hours of contractions. This whole time Cody was asleep and had no clue, I didn't want to wake him up if it wasn't for real. No sense in both of us losing sleep. He figured it out when he got up at 5:30 and I was in the shower. He was supposed to be at the high school by 6 to help the wrestling team but told me he would stay. I told him to go and I would keep him updated. At 7am I decided to call my mom by this time my contractions had slowed down and were every 6 minutes. I decided that we would head towards my parents house since they live a lot closer to the hospital and if they sped up we would stop at the hospital. Cody decided just to come home after practice instead of heading to work like he would normally do and when he got home I had just got off the phone with my mom and told him I thought we should get ready to go. As we were getting ready to leave my contractions started to be 4 mins apart so we figured if they stayed that way the whole way to the hospital we would stop, if not we would go to my parents house and wait. They stayed that way so we went to the hospital. We checked in and they checked me out and I was dilated to a 3 1/2 so they said I was staying. I was totally relieved but scared at the same time. It was really going to happen today! They got me all set up and I was progressing pretty quick...I had my epidural and I felt great! I was to a 7 but my contractions had slowed down so they decided to start me on potossin(not sure how to spell it) to get my contractions going. Not 5 mins after they started it I got really sick and felt like I was going to throw up. We went to call for the nurse and she was already running in because the baby's heart beat had dropped a lot and my blood pressure was really low. After we got the baby back to normal they took me off the potossin and decided we would just see how I did without it. We waited a few more hours and I was ready to push. My contractions were still not very close together so we had to wait a while after each push. After about 2 hours and not a whole lot of progress they decided to turn my epidural down so I could feel enough to push and they started me on the potossin. By this time I was very frustrated and the nurse asked if I would like a blessing. Cody and my Dad gave me and blessing and then we started pushing again. Everything started progressing a little more each time and an hour later she was here. Those 3 hours of pushing were one of the hardest most frustrating things I have ever done, but my cute little baby girl is totally worth it! So far she is doing pretty good, still figuring out the sleep thing but that always comes with time. I know this won't surprise many of you but she has already had her first photo shoot so be expecting more pictures soon!

Congratulations! She is so cute and so lucky that she gets photo shoots all the time!
Thank you for even more details. I wanted to know the whole story. I am so glad everything went well. She is a doll.
She is beautiful, congrats! Sorry you had a hard time pushing. Thats rough at the end when you just wanted her there! Such a different experience having a baby in Utah than anywhere else. I thought it was so sweet the nurse asked if you needed a blessing. I had my daughter in Utah, and my son in Canada - and I will just say - its much better in Utah. Hope it was a great experience! You look so beautiful in your pics by the way. Don't know how all you other Moms stay so thin - but it didn't work out that way for me! Your family is beautiful. I am so happy for you. Girls are so fun!
She is darling! our girls are only 3 days apart! I love the pictures and I can't wait to meet her in person!
