So I am a few days late but Wednesday was Cody's birthday. We took him lunch and then he had a dual so we went to that and came home and let him have his ice cream cake and open presents.

I decided to put Sky in a dance class so she went to her first class last week. My sister in law teaches at a studio in AF so she goes there. So far she really likes it, all of the girls that are in her class have been taking since August so she is just trying to figure everything out but it is so cute to watch her!

Every year the week after Christmas we go up to the cabin with my family for a few days. It was so nice to sit around for a few days and relax but very hard to come back to reality.

On Christmas day in the afternoon all of Cody's family came over to our house. We had a spiritual thought and then let the kids open their presents. Later that night we had Cody's grandparents and some aunts and uncles over for dinner and had fun hanging out with all of them.

On Christmas morning we had church at 9 so we decided to open presents after we got home. Sky was a lot of fun this year since she was old enough to really know what was going on. On Christmas Eve we went with my family like we usually do. We had a wonderful dinner(like always) and read the Christmas story like we usually do except this time we dressed the kids up and let them be a part of it. They all did pretty good, Sky wasn't real happy so daddy had to help her.

So Sky has been obsessed with Christmas lights this year... Every time we get in the car she asks for lights and recently has been sad that she can't see any on the houses in our neighborhood. Anyway, while we were with Cody's family we had planned to go to Temple square after we took pictures. By the time we took pictures and had dinner, we decided it was way too cold! Since we were in bountiful we decided to just go to a park nearby that had lights. It were plenty of lights for Sky and it was perfect because we didn't freeze!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year! The day started out like this...

All of the men in the family decided to come out and lay sod at our house. We are seriously so lucky to have the family that we have. I know that I say it a lot but our family is so awesome! Any of them would do anything for us, and I hope they know that we would do the same. They all had the morning off and decided to use it by serving us. Thank you all we love you so much!

Londyns Blessing

Okay, I know I am really behind and I don't really know where to start but I am going to try really hard to catch up from the last 3 months. Things have been so crazy, I haven't been able to find any time to blog. The girls are both asleep right now and I have a ton of other things to do but I just need to get started on this or I never will!
Anyway, on October 30th Cody blessed Londyn and did a wonderful job! As always we had lots of awesome family come to support and help with yummy food! I seriously have the best family ever, thank you all! I have so many pictures from that day and it would take forever to upload all of them but here are some of my favorties...there are still a ton!

Ok so I am way behind on my blog...the last 2 months have flown right by! I keep meaning to get to it but I have been so behind on editing I didn't feel like I should do this instead of that. Now that I am caught up I am going to get this done! Sorry it is going to be a LONG post, we have done a lot in the last 2 months! Sorry it is kind of random but at least it is getting done.

24th of July

I have to back track a little to before I had Londyn, since she came earlier than I expected I wasn't caught up on here...what's new?Over the weekend of the 4th of July we sat on our front porch every night and watched fireworks so we decided that we would invite all of our family over for the 24th and everyone could watch them with us. It is always crazy when we get everyone together but so much fun too!

The Cabin

One day while I was at work Aimee was watching Sky for me and they decided to go out to the cabin because the rest of my family was out there hiking. These are the pictures I got back from my parents...I have never seen this child this dirty ever! She is usually really funny about dirt and wants her hands cleaned when they get dirty. Not this day... she practically rolled in the dirt all day and when you add marshmallows and red squeeze-it this is what you get

St. George

A few weeks after I had Londyn some of the girls in my family were headed to St. George to see some shows at Tuacahn so we decided to tag along.

Cody's little sister is a senior at UVU and is on the soccer team so we have been going to as many of her games as we can. They are at night this year instead of during the day so we have been able to go to most of them and it has been really fun. Sky loves watching Ash!

While it was still warm I tried to take Sky outside and let her swim as much as we could.

There is a splash pad down the street from our house that we had never been to so we invited the cousins and went down for a few hours. They all mostly ran around on the grass, the water was really cold!

Cody got a new job this summer...he is now the wood shop teacher and wrestling coach at Westlake high school. So far he is really liking it. Sky likes to go visit daddy and play with his glasses.

Since Cody got the job we have been to a few of the football games and Sky loves watching all of it. She loves football but she also loves watching the cheerleaders and dancers.

Cody's Mom had a thing for work the night of Sky's Birthday so gave her presents to her that morning.

I am so lucky to have sisters that are willing to help me with my kids while I work. There have been a few times that is has worked out that Stacey watches the girls and then I take Brighton when I am done and watch her for a little bit. These two are hilarious together! They just follow each other around laughing the whole time.

One day I went to check on Sky while she was napping and found this...She loves to read her princess book.

Sky is such a good big sister. She wakes up every morning asking for Nunna(that is how she says Londyn) She loves holding her and giving kisses and loves that Londyn smiles at her now. It is so fun to watch her with Londyn, she loves her baby sister.

Over conference weekend we went down to Cody's grandparents again and stayed the night. Sky and Cody swam for a little bit and like always she loved it. She is our little fish.

I took both of the girls in to the Doctor this week. It was time for Skyler's 2yr check up and Londyn's 2 month check up. As I was there I was wondering what I was thinking scheduling them at the same time because they were both getting shots and at one point I would probably have to screaming kids. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was. Sky went first and didn't like her shots but I was able to calm her down pretty quick but then she got upset when Londyn got hers. Luckily our nurse is awesome and took Sky to get a sucker and distracted her while I calmed Londyn down so it was only crazy for a few seconds.

Londyn Nichole Burdett was born on Sunday July 31, 2011 at 2:40pm
She was 6lbs 5 oz and 18 inches long

Okay, so here is the story for those of you that want to know(and for me before I forget anything) So for months now we have been debating weather we were going to go to a family reunion with Cody's family. It was two weeks before my due date and they were going to bear lake( 3 hours from home) I really wanted to go but was a little bit nervous since Skyler came 9 days early. We finally decided that we would just play it by ear and see how my dr appt went that week. I went in to the dr on Thursday, he checked me and said that I was dilated to a 1, the same as I had been the week before. I decided since there had been no progress in the week that we were going to go to the reunion and hope that she didn't decide to come early. We got up there on Saturday afternoon around 4pm. We had dinner, Cody and Sky swam, and we just hung out with the family. Cody's aunt asked me how I was feeling and I told her I felt great! I really did! Sky had a hard time going to sleep that night so Cody and I both went to our room to lay down by her, next thing I know it is 2 am and I don't feel very good. I started having contractions and kept thinking...there is no way this is happening right now. ( I also started having contractions at 2am with Skyler) I laid there hoping that they would stop but they just kept coming. I told myself that if they were still going after 2 hours we were heading home. After the two hours they were still going so I said I would give it one more hour. That hour passed and they were still going strong...I guess someone else had other plans for us that weekend. I woke Cody up and told him that we needed to go home. We got all of our stuff together and headed home at about 5am. The drive wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be...It was kind of nice because it helped the time to pass a little bit quicker. At first I was nervous to drive all the way home but when I had Sky I waited 8 hours before I went to the hospital and was still only at a 3 so I figured as long as my water didn't break I would be okay. We finally started getting closer to home and I started making some phone calls it was still early but better than 5am. My parents where in Seattle at the time so I tried calling them first but they didn't answer. Then I tried calling to find somewhere to take Sky, after a few phone calls I got a hold of Aimee(woke her up too) and we headed there to drop off Sky. While we were there I asked Josh to help Cody give me and blessing and then we were on our way to the hospital. By this time my contractions had slowed down so I was really nervous that they would send me home. I really didn't want to go home after driving all that way. When I got there they checked me and I was dilated to a 4 so they said they would wait an hour to see if I progressed and then they would admit me if I had. After an hour the nurse came in and said that the Dr wanted to keep me( without checking me, what was the point of sitting there for an hour?) Anyway, I tested positive for Group strep B so they had to get the antibiotics in me before they could do a whole lot. They waited 2 hours and then gave me pitossin to speed up my contractions. It helped with the contractions but I after almost 2 more hours I was still only at a 5. After the 4 hours of the antibiotics being in me they decided to break my water. About 20 minutes later I was at a 7. I texted Aimee and Brea to let them know. Brea was going to come play photographer for me and Aimee was going to bring Sky down. A few minutes later I started feeling a lot of pressure so they checked me and I was at a 9. Then the dr came in and said it was time. At the time I was on the phone with my Mom so I hung up real quick and gave Cody the phone. As this was happening Cody's Mom walked in the door(She drove the 3 hours from the reunion) and we started pushing. When I had Sky I pushed for 3 hours so I wasn't expecting this one to go much faster. I pushed through 3 contractions and she was here. That was a surprise! Much easier than when I had Sky. I kind of left my poor Mom and Dad hanging on the phone and a few minutes after I hung up with them they got a picture of the new baby. ( I think they were shocked too!) Sky has been really good with her. We are still trying to teach her what she can and can't do with Londyn but she really has been good. She loves her baby sister and asks for her every morning when she wakes up. We are loving having Londyn here and I am loving not being pregnant...Thank you Aimee for taking care of Sky for us...Brea for all of the wonderful pictures, all of the many visitors that we have had, and the rest of our wonderful family that has been so awesome! We really have the best family ever! We are so grateful for all of you and love you all so much!

Every year my Grandparents get us all tickets to the Stadium of Fire and we love going. This year Brad Paisley and David Archuleta came...Brad Paisley is awesome in concert and the fireworks were amazing this year. Skyler on the other hand...did not love being there. There were too many loud abrupt noises and she was scared probably 75% of the time. It was still one of my favorite years (even being very pregnant and uncomfortable and with a scared child). Thank you Grandpa and Grandma, we love you!

This is what she did through all of Brad Paisley and the fireworks. She would switch back and forth between me, Cody and my Dad. I think she thought if she switched places it would go away or something. She never cried at all she just snuggled up and stayed there.

She eventually stressed herself out enough that she fell asleep during the fireworks(poor girl)

Then she woke up as we were leaving and was happy as ever

We had a great time...luckily the fireworks were amazing because I don't think we will be going to any other fireworks shows this year. Maybe next year she won't be a scared.

I cannot believe it is already July! June flew right by and like always I am really behind...Sorry this is a very long post. June was a pretty busy month for us, we kept ourselves busy having lots of fun.

A few weeks ago we went to the Zoo with Cody's sister Amy and her family. It was super hot and pretty busy but Sky loved seeing all of the animals. She is really into animals right now so she wasn't bored one bit.

Strawberry Days

We can't go through summer and not go to some of the Strawberry Days events in Pleasant Grove. First we went to Huck Finn Day... Sky had her face painted but she smeared her cute strawberry before I could get a good picture.

They fill up this area for a big fishing pond for the kids. Grandpa was helping Kaelan try to catch a fish.

After a few hours of letting the kids fish, they start to drain the pond and they let the kids go in with their nets to fish. It is chaos with kids running around everywhere but the kids loved playing in the water.

That night we went to the rodeo...I was a little nervous that Sky would get bored and not want to sit still but she did so good! She LOVED it! Every time any of the animals would come out she would get excited and clap for them.

The next day we went to the parade... I have actually never watched the parade, I was always in it growing up so I only ever saw bits and pieces of it. It was fun, Sky liked waving to all of the people.

Carter Reunion

Every year my Grandma Ault and her cousins do a reunion out at the Ophir cabin. We used to love going out there for it and have very good memories from when I was little. I haven't been in a few years so I decided to take Sky out with me.

Brittany's bunny had babies a little while ago and Sky is in love with them. This is the first time she saw them and she couldn't get enough of them. I will admit they are really cute, too bad they don't stay this small.

We haven't been swimming yet this summer...this is our idea of swimming right now.

If I am wearing glasses she has to have some on too! I have to keep HER glasses(my old ones that I don't care if she breaks) handy if I want to wear mine. She doesn't like her little glasses as much as Mommy's glasses.

A few random things:

She loves putting make up on while mommy is getting ready

She is really into putting her food in between her toes and eating them from her feet. I think it is disgusting but she loves it! We spend a lot of time in the car so I am sure she gets bored, this is her entertainment when she is done reading all of her books.

We decided to move her to a big girl bed before the baby came and I was very nervous. I was expecting a lot of rough nights of no sleep until she got used to it. I was wrong! She has slept better in the last two weeks than she has in the last 6 months! She loves her bed and sleeps so good in it. She even takes her normal naps in it. I will admit I think it was harder for me than her, I almost wanted to cry the night we switched it. She just looks so small...

Rafting Trip

This weekend we headed up to Wyoming for a rafting trip with Cody's family. I didn't go rafting so I decided to make myself useful and try to get some good shots of them coming down the river. The part with the biggest rapids required a hike to get good pics(which I made 3 times, one with Sky in my arms) but it was totally worth it. I definitely got a my workout for the day. The weather was beautiful for us, the water of course was freezing but at least the air was warm. I was a little nervous about how Sky would do because we basically drove up and down the canyon the whole time but she did great! I got a lot of great pictures but it is a pain to upload a lot on here so I will just put a few.

The first run started out with this...It was only a 15 minute drive from the hotel so I thought there was no way she would fall asleep but she did! Cheeto in hand and all. She slept the whole first run so it was easy for me to take pictures...she slept and Cody's grandma stayed by the car and made sure she was okay.

On the 2nd run the white boat had a little mishap. Everyone ended up in the water and it was a very scary experience for some. It happened in a rough area and it was almost impossible for them to get back in with how fast the river was moving at the time. Thank goodness the other raft was close by to help. We are so glad everyone is okay.

30 Weeks!

I haven't posted much about this pregnancy but it is going pretty good. I am 30 weeks now which seems kind of crazy. I consider 30 weeks the downhill part...not necessarily the easier part but we are almost done! The time has gone by pretty fast but I am about ready for it to be here. The thought of two kids makes me very nervous but I am so excited for Skyler to have a little sister. August seems so far away but at the same time it is only 2 months away, that is SOON! Everything with the pregnancy has been going pretty good. It has been similar to my pregnancy with Skyler, a few more aches and pains but I can't complain too much. I feel like I don't have anything ready but I don't have to do as much prep for this one so I don't really have much to do. My project(and Cody's) for the next few weeks is getting her room ready. I have decided to make her bedding so I need to get going. I have all of the material, I just need to get started. Hopefully pics to come soon!

Lake Powell

I promise we are alive! I just looked and it has been a while since I have posted anything. It has been a crazy busy month but more just busy with work and nothing too exciting. Over the weekend we got to go on our annual Lake Powell trip and had a lot of fun. We didn't get to stay as long as we like because Cody had to come back to work today but we still had fun. I was thinking that I didn't take very many pictures but then when I put them on my computer I realized I still had quite a few. I was really nervous about Sky this year because she is at a crazy age and I wasn't sure how she would feel about keeping a life jacket on for 4 days straight but she did SO GOOD! She didn't hardly complain about it at all, I still had to worry about her running off but it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Sportin her shades...While others were wakeboarding I sat on the back to take pictures of them and she just stood there and watched them, she loved it!

The water was freezing! For some reason she didn't think so, she didn't want to get out!

Grandpa was nice and played in it with her. She was grinning from ear to ear, she must have been numb cause it was COLD!

She sat on this thing for quite a while and didn't want to get off. Then she decided she was done and tried getting off on her own. Luckily my Dad was close by and I was sitting on the deck ready to get in...she still fell all the way in.

You would think she was crying because she was cold but I think it scared her more than anything cause she wanted to get right back in and swim with me.

He came back a few minutes later and she was not very happy...turns out she just wanted to sit on it, she didn't want him to go fast.

On Saturday afternoon a big storm rolled in and brought ALOT of wind. With the wind comes very rough water so there wasn't much to do. Unfortunately it lasted until late Sunday night so we had to sit on the houseboat and find ways to entertain the kids.

Yesterday on our way to my grandparents I had to stop by the studio and we had a little bit of extra time so I decided to try to get a few more pics of her. I wasn't planning on taking any until we got there but we were able to get a few good ones. She did a little better with Cody there to help but she only lasted about 5 maybe 10 minutes. I don't blame her though, I wouldn't want mine taken all of the time either.

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter this year. On Saturday Cody and Sky went down to Payson to Cody's grandparents and had an egg hunt and wonderful dinner and then yesterday we went to my grandparents house with my family and did the same. We had tons of fun but Sky was worn out! She is still recouping today, her morning nap was 3 hours long(very rarely happens)she might have slept longer but I had to wake her up so I could go to my Dr appt.

We can't leave Grandma and Grandpa Ault's house without having ice cream. They have an ice cream freezer and the kids know that Grandma and Grandpa will never say no to ice cream.

St. George

Since Cody didn't have to work while the schools were out for spring break we decided to head down to St. George for the week. My Mom, Brittany and Aimee and her kids all came down to hang out too! It was so nice to get away and relax. The weather was okay, it wasn't as warm as it usually is down there but it was warm enough to go to the pool and play at the park(that is pretty much all we did the whole week) Sky loved being outside all of the time, I can't wait til it decides to be warm so she can play.

I tried taking some pictures of Sky a few weeks ago and lets just say it was a lot harder than I was hoping it would be. I took her by myself and that was a mistake. We still got some good ones, but it was not easy.

Skyler loves shoes, she always has. I would have to say next to my phone they are one of her favorite things. I can never find her shoes because she is always playing with them and they are scattered around the house. She has now started liking to wear our shoes now too.

She has her own shoe on under mine in this one.I just thought this one was cute, she is so fun right now.

Conference Weekend

Cody's grandparents always invite everyone over for conference weekend. This year we decided to go down on Saturday afternoon and do some swimming and then Cody could go to priesthood with his Grandpa. We were babysitting Brighton so we took her and both she and Sky loved the pool!

We kept Brighton over night and Sky was in heaven! She loved having a bath buddy and was so sad when she had to go home. She calls her Brighty and for the next 3 days she kept asking for her.

A few weeks ago we were lucky enough to go on a cruise with a bunch of my family. We went to Belize, Costa Maya, and Cozumel and had so much fun! We missed Skyler TONS but still enjoyed ourselves. Thanks Dad and Mom for an Awesome trip!

In Belize we went cave tubing and zip lining. I loved the zip lining! I was scared at first because I hate heights but it ended up being my favorite part of the trip.

In Costa Maya we decided to just go hang out on the beach. While we were there we snorkeled the reef and just hung out and relaxed.

In Cozumel we went snorkeling for a bit and then walked around town and shopped. We saw a lot of really cool things snorkeling and we saw totally different things than we saw in Costa Maya so it was fun.

Some of you may already know this and others may just think I am packing on the pounds...I figured I should probably post it on here since many of you I never see. So yes, I am pregnant! I am almost 16 weeks and Due August 12th(that seems so far away) This is probably the reason I have been MIA the last couple of months. I don't have the excuse of being super busy like usual...just lazy, and it has been really nice. Anyway, we are very excited for our little family to grow.

Yeah I told you I was behind. For Cody's birthday I got him tickets to a Jazz game. He gave Sky some little Jazz onesies for Christmas so I thought it would be fun for us to go. She did pretty good considering how long the games were and how late it was.

I was spoiled this year, Cody also surprised me with a sewing machine(now I won't have to borrow my Moms) Poor Cody didn't have as exciting of a Christmas...All he asked for was new clothes and I couldn't think of anything cool to get him so that is what he got. Sky loves all of her presents and it is still like Christmas every morning since she hasn't had time to get sick of any of them yet. After we opened presents we headed to my parents for breakfast.

We went to my parents house for Christmas Eve and had a lot of fun. We always have an amazing dinner and then we opened our presents from each other. It got pretty crazy with the kids...they all wanted each others toys but it was still fun.

I have noticed a trend with the girls. If one of them are sitting on someones lap at least one or two more end up sitting in the same place...jealousy???? This time we put the others on his lap but they weren't all thrilled to be sitting together.

We were finally able to find a day that worked for all of us(that it didn't snow) We tried at the beginning of the month and of course the one day that it decided to snow was the day we were going to take them. We did get a good day a few weeks later and it was actually pretty warm that day(for December) It was a lot of craziness but I am so glad that we finally have a nice picture of all of us. The last one we took we are missing 7 grandkids and 4 in laws...it was time.

My Grandma had santa come to our family party again this year and I was really hoping that Skyler wouldn't freak out. At first she was very interested in him...

So we decided to put her on his lap, she really only cared about the phone that was in her hand. Cody tried to take it away and she did not like that.

I really wanted to get a good picture of her on his lap so we tried again a little bit later. At first she did pretty good...

It didn't last very long.Santa also came to the Warner Christmas party and she really freaked out then. I didn't have my camera and haven't gotten the pictures from Aimee yet. I hated santa for a VERY long time so it won't surprise me if this happens for a while.

Last week we tried to take some family pictures and get on top of Christmas cards this year. Last year I sent them a few days before Christmas:( Anyway, this is how it went....

Someone decided that she wanted nothing to do with getting her pictures taken. Poor Cortney tried everything in the book. She finally calmed down a little bit enough to get a few decent ones.

Like I have said before...Getting pictures taken is way too stressful for me. We will be getting our fair share this month. Next week we are doing my family... 14 adults and 9 kids under the age of 7...wish us luck! We are also doing Cody's family closer to Christmas. Luckily there are only 4 little ones in that one so it should be a little bit better. It will be a while before I will want to do more of just us:) Thanks again Cort! A little while ago Skyler learned how to say uh oh. While she was with Cody's Mom one day she taught her to say spaghetti oh after it. I have been trying to get it on video for a while and finally did tonight. It is not the best video, I couldn't get it to focus very well( it is manual focus on my camera so I am still figuring out the video) but you can hear it pretty good.

So yesterday I noticed that Skyler had two new teeth on the top that had broke through the skin...One was in the middle and the other on the side. Well, today I went to pick her up from Cody's Mom and saw something white on her gum, as I looked closer it was another one and it had already come in pretty far. I looked last night and it wasn't there. So that means she has had 3 come in the last 3 days. Poor girl...that explains the rough nights that she has had. Thank goodness daddy was still up both times because I was out cold. I need to get some pictures of them but I think that might be impossible, we will see.

12 month check up

I keep forgetting...we took Skyler in for her check up and this time it was so sad! She didn't like her shots( who would!) and she was so sad for a long time after that. Besides that everything went well. She weighs 20lbs(40%) and is 27 in long(20%)

Each set of these pictures were taken within a few minutes of each other. I am so glad I got the pictures because she doesn't do them as much now...she has learned some new ones though so we will have to get those ones on camera too.

Our Weekend

Last weekend we went up the canyon with Cody's family for Laurie's birthday. Sky loved it up there, she was a mess by the end of the night but it was fun anyway.

Then on Saturday we went to Cody's grandparents to stay the night and watch conference. While the boys were at the priesthood session we took a little swim in their pool, Sky didn't last very long but it was fun for a minute.
